Dragonsoft Studios Site History --------------------------------------------------- Site Version 2 - 01/30/2013 to 05/25/2013 --------------------------------------------------- ------------------ :: January 2013 :: ------------------ 01/30/2013 - Caught myself just in time there, 30 days in and I still almost wrote 2012... So yeah, things have been busy busy busy, but at least things are progressing pretty well! The Secret Project has finally been unveiled and is nicely underway on my channel, and with a brief moment off from various projects, I can get some site updates done! Before we get to the actual updates, I do want to make mention here though of a D-Arts Mega Man figure I received in the mail. It's an awesome gift, but unfortunately, I'm not sure who sent it o.o; I want to credit them with the lovely gift, but unfortunately my memory is pretty bad sometimes, and the package alas didn't have a name that I could immediately recognize. So please, whoever sent it, get in touch with me if you would so I can give you proper credit. So updates! - The Library page has been updated with various games I got over the holidays : Kid Icarus Uprising, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed, the last two Skyrim expansions, and a gift of Poképark Wii 2 from beedolphin, Thief Gold from AdamantArchvile, and La Mulana from MrKhanski! - The Projects page has been updated with the current project of Eternal Darkness : Sanity's Requiem. - What few updates there were have been catalogued onto the Archive's page. - 18 new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery. My thanks to those who sent in new work! ------------------- :: February 2013 :: ------------------- 02/03/2013 - Just a brief update here, the mystery of the D-Arts Mega Man figure has been solved! My most sincere thanks to Jon Ramsten for the gift. The Library page has been updated to reflect this. 02/28/2013 - It's been quite a busy month... o.o; So first off, after a marathon of editing, Eternal Darkness is of course finished, and I've moved onto working on the Mega Man 1 Fortress Stage Perfect Runs! Sadly, I'm stuck for the moment on Wily 3, CWU-01P is being quite a thing. Rest assured, I'm determined to finish it though. Also, I recently had to go in to get glasses. Yeah, I turned 32 this month, and I'm starting to feel it. At least I'm told I look good in glasses, so there's that. All that aside though, time for site updates, which I already know have made my site inaccessible on my end for whatever reason, so hopefully these will actually go up correctly! - The Library has been updated with four games I got for my birthday : Saints Row the Third, Resident Evil 6, Assassin's Creed 2, and Okamiden. Also, with the holiday rush over, I re-opened the "games I'd like to play but can't afford" list. - The Projects list has been updated with the completion of Eternal Darkness, the start of the MM1 Fortress Perfect Runs, and a few possible future projects under consideration. - The Fan Art page has been updated with 19 new images. Thanks to everyone who sent in new work! EDIT - A 20th image was added to Neo's gallery, as we also have a Pokémon rendition of Xel'lotath. ---------------- :: March 2013 :: ---------------- 03/24/2013 - Oof... Things lately... I've been feeling pretty stressed out over things, not fun. At least the Zelda Minimalist Run is going well! It's one reason I haven't really updated the site lately, I've felt more like just playing games and working on recording and trying to get my mind off things. I should update more than I do, but honestly, I just don't really have too much to say sometimes, and so it doesn't really feel like there's too much of an urgency to do so. I mean, this isn't like a major fandom news site with constant news coming in or such... Some have been getting a bit impatient with me over it though, so.... updates I guess! - The Projects list has been updated with the Legend of Zelda Minimalist Run being my new current project. - The Library has been updated with the donation of Sonic '06 from Beedolphin. - A silly new Poll has been added. Revengeance? Warfighter? This is what we've come to? - 18 new pieces of Fan Art have been uploaded. My thanks to those who sent in new work. ---------------- :: April 2013 :: ---------------- NONE -------------- :: May 2013 :: -------------- 05/02/2013 - WARNING : GIANT WALL OF TEXT INCOMING No major site updates this time, but just some stuff to let you all know what's going on. Things lately have been pretty rough, and it's why I haven't really been able to focus enough to really get a coherent site update together. Trying to record things, there's at least the enjoyment of playing a game in there to get my mind off of current goings on, so that at least I've been able to do. My aunt has been fighting cancer for awhile now, and is currently in a phase where she's undergoing chemotherapy. Thankfully, it does seem to be doing what it's supposed to be doing, but the treatments leave her feeling sick and weak, and it's just so hard to see her like that. I can only hope she makes a speedy recovery. Also, as summer approaches, finances around here really aren't doing so well. As such, I'm having to lose my cell phone, so it tightens that belt of isolation a little more, which... yeah. Kind of a rough feeling. However, it somehow from just getting calls from a friend racked up a $500 bill, so... yeah, gotta do what we gotta do. EDIT : Apparently there was some miscommunication. It wasn't a $500 bill, it was that my phone apparently racked up 500 minutes of our family plan's 700 minute allotment. Still problematic, but at least not as financially terrible. Isolation... it's a big issue for me. One of my biggest fears really. Like, living on my own, that I can handle. I had my own apartment while attending Full Sail, and I loved that feeling of freedom. Isolation on the other hand, just that feeling of being cut off from friends... egh. With finances as they are currently, I do have the fear of what happens if we can't afford HughesNet anymore. I hope it doesn't come to that, as much as I bash on them, they are pretty much the only thing keeping me connected to my friends. So yeah, things are kind of bleh all around really. I've at least been in talks with a recruiter from TGN in the hopes that we can find some way to make a partnership work, but there are still some stumbling blocks we're working through at the moment. I know that won't solve all my problems though, I really have to find some way of getting a more steady income going. I don't suppose anyone out there has any experience with work from home type opportunities? If so, I'd appreciate any advice you could send me on that sort of thing. With the living situation we have, it seems like that would be the best option, but I'm pretty much clueless on how to even go about looking for that sort of thing. I don't know when, but I'll try to get more of an actual site update done at some point in the near future. No promises on when, things are just... yeah, I kind of need to get away from things for a little bit. One announcement I do want to make though concerning the fan art gallery. It has been brought to my attention that there is a bug concerning older BMP images. When Coppermine forced me to upgrade, it no longer accepted BMP images (I really have no idea why. Gotta love upgrades that take options away from users. Lookin' at you, YouTube). Apparently this retroactively struck my gallery. Images that were BMPs uploaded prior to the upgrade, they still show thumbnails, but the images themselves no longer display. Unfortunately, there's not really much I can do about it. ...So yeah, I guess that's about it. Meh. 05/25/2013 - Why is it every time I go to update my site, HughesNet conveniently picks then, and ONLY then, to suddenly not be able to access it? So obviously, it's been awhile since the last update. Things in the house, they could still be better, but so it goes. I'm trying to just keep a positive attitude to get through these times, and the support of friends and fans has helped a lot. The past few weeks, I largely spent casually playing Resident Evil 6 and going for the offline achievements there. I actually have most of them at this point. RE6... it's kind of a weird one. There were some things about it I really liked, and others... not so much. Most of the "argh" came from Chris' story mode. I... really didn't like it. Basically a complete rewrite of Chris' personality, and I really didn't care for his campaign's ending. Not much I can say about it without massive spoilers, so... yeah. Video-wise, I'm at another of those points that might take a bit to get through... The third of MM3's Wily stages is going to be a thing, but I at least have a strategy to work with. It's just going to be a matter of getting good enough at using it... Thus far, I seem to have luck dodging the first volley of shots, but then things fall apart. It's one of those where it's going to just be getting the pattern solidly down. It feels like you have to be pretty precise about where you land, else one of the holograms will shoot before you're ready o.o; Also, a special message from my mum, in thanks for everyone who has had us in their thoughts and those who have been kind enough to donate to our family over the years : Your support and kindness has truly meant a lot to us! So now, actual updates! YES, THEY HAPPEN SOMETIMES! - Updated the Projects page to reflect current activity. - Updated the Library page with a few new acquisitions, including the donation of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon : Explorers of Time and Gates of Infinity from Beedolphin, Oblivion from ZacEXE3, and my own purchase of Poker Night 2. - 26 new images have been uploaded to the Fan Art Gallery. To those sending in work, I ask that you please do make sure of the rules there though. There have still been some instances of pieces coming in either too big, or with formats I can't upload. - Just a note, since there have been fairly few updates, I probably won't do an Archive update until July. --------------- :: June 2013 :: --------------- NONE
