Dragonsoft Studios Site History --------------------------------------------------- Site Version 2 - 01/07/2012 to 03/24/2012 --------------------------------------------------- ---------------- :: April 2012 :: ---------------- 04/01/2012 - OH MAN I LOST EVERYTHING ON THE SITE APRIL FOOLS HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE Okay that's enough of that. So yeah, second quarter of 2012, so time to archive the old and have a nice clean home page again! Getting those last few vids up took a lot of my time, hence the somewhat late updates. But hey, it delayed things enough for me to go ahead and get the archive process out of the way, so it's all good. So as stated on my video channel, I'm currently taking a bit of a break from videos. A long project like one of the MMBN games can be a bit tiring to get through. With the main story done, I want to take a short break to get my energy back. Thus I've been playing mostly Warriors Orochi 3 lately, quite a fun game. I also plan to enjoy some Silent Hill Downpour and Batman : Arkham City. The post-game of BN3 will be coming once I figure out what order I want to tackle things in, and once I feel like recording more of the game. So as for site updates : - The last three months of updates have been added to the Archives. - The Library has been updated with Warriors Orochi 3. - 5 new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery. 04/09/2012 - Oh hey I'm running late. WHEEEE! Essentially I kept getting sidetracked by other things, hence the late updates. I've mainly been achievement hunting on Warriors Orochi 2. I did also finish the main game content of Orochi 3 and Silent Hill Downpour. Downpour was a pretty awesome game, there was a plot twist at the end that I never saw coming. Very cool game. A shame that Silent Hill HD Collection and Book of Memories don't seem to follow in that... 12 new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery. My thanks to everyone who sent in new work!   UPDATE : Added a new Poll! Just a curiosity question after some art I was working on, but what's your favorite color? 04/15/2012 - Well, it's been a busy week, that's for sure. I've been working on the behind the scenes planning for the next phase of MMBN3. I think what I'll basically be doing is first, showing a fight with Alpha WITHOUT using the Zeta Cannon advances, then I'll work on the job board missions. After that, I'll probably show what's behind the security cubes in the undernet, then we'll start venturing into the secret area to see how far we can make it there. I also finished up Batman : Arkham City. It's a very fun game, though the ending seemed rather abrupt. The final boss was kind of, as TV Tropes would put it, a Giant Space Flea from Nowhere. While it was an interesting fight, it seemed kind of a strange one to end the game on if that makes sense. It also felt like there were a few plot holes and missed opportunities, but overall it was still quite an enjoyable game. With that, 7 new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery. My thanks to all who sent in work! Just a reminder though, if you send something in, please remember to give me the name you want to be credited under. Please do this even if you've sent in work before, it's a LOT of names to have to keep straight otherwise. Also, the Library has been updated thanks to a donation from Beedolphin of Sonic Colors! A note here as well, I greatly appreciate those who send in games and such for me to enjoy. Please though, if you want to send something, let me know first, just as a precaution so people don't accidentally send in the same thing or such ^_^; 04/22/2012 - Ah, I love BN3, but it's not always a mutual relationship. An issue came up in which I had to go defeat BeastMan Beta yet AGAIN before the game realized I had indeed defeated him, and thus let me pass a security cube in the way during the final job. At least now I have enough footage to start getting new vids ready to upload. 10 new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery, my thanks to everyone who sent in new work. I've also updated the Library, thanks to a couple of donations from ZacEXE3 and Kit. Thank you very much indeed! 04/30/2012 - Been quite a busy week, hence the late updates. My mum was kind enough to give me 800 XBLA points in return for my doing a bit of a research project for her. My mum is a highly skilled woodcarver, specializing in carousel horses. For a current project she's working on, the visual references she was given are, alas, pretty bad. As such, I'm looking through a bunch of back issues of a magazine she's subscribed to for several years, looking through the pictures to try to find good visual references of horses carved by a specific artist. BN3 has also been rather slow going. Between Bugfrag grinding, trying to get some Giga chips through linked Netbattles, and trying to get V4 Navi chips, it's been a thing. I'm working on them as best I can, and new vids will be up as soon as I can make them. So this does lead me to a point : I still have a few comments here and there from more impatient types, asking where's this and where's that. Please bear in mind, I do all of this as a hobby. I enjoy doing it, but I do it when I actually have time. Sometimes, I have less free time than others, and this week has been a prime example of having less. So please, for the sake of a dragon's sanity (such as it is), don't ask when new things will be ready, they will be available as soon as I can possibly do so. This isn't a job, I don't get paid a regular paycheck for any of it. As such, the only thing I ask is patience. Surely that's not too much to ask, is it? o.o; So okay, site updates. Five new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery. The Library has also been updated, thanks to a donation of Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney that came from ZacEXE3. -------------- :: May 2012 :: -------------- 05/07/2012 - Things just seem to be going out of their way to be frustrating lately... I actually have two new vids ready to upload for Megaman Battle Network 3, but now there's a bug on YouTube that hit my account. Even though my account shows I should still be able to upload videos longer than 15 minutes, if I try to do so, it immediately rejects them due to length. This is hitting a lot of people. A YouTube tech has stated they're looking into it and trying to fix it, so at least they've acknowledged it, but no idea when it will be fixed. The videos in question, I can't really edit them down more, there's no natural break before where I already have them edited, so I guess we'll have to wait a bit. Most frustrating. And now, HughesNet is doing that thing where the graphics from my site aren't loading, so who knows if these updates will even upload correctly. Oh man, good times. As far as updates, six new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery, and the Library has been updated with Beedolphin's donation of Ghostbusters : The Video Game for Xbox 360. 05/21/2012 - Oh yeah, site updates, those are a thing to do, aren't they? So yeah, it's been a hectic week or two. Between YouTube glitches, the air conditioner breaking down, live streams with friends, going out for Mothers' Day.... whew, it's been busy. In all fairness, it's also been a slow couple of weeks as far as news goes. Not really much to update the site with. There are however three new images in the Fan Art gallery, so thank you for that. 05/30/2012 - So yeah, guess it's safe to say these have kind of become "whenever I have time and think of it" updates lately. I've admittedly been feeling a little burned out and de-energized lately, but I'm doing my best to get through it. I've been spending most of today just relaxing with games, mostly Ghostbusters, Pokémon, and Lufia, as newly sent to me by ZacEXE3. This has been added thus to the Library. Three new images have also been added to the Fan Art gallery. My thanks to all who sent in new work. --------------- :: June 2012 :: --------------- 06/20/2012 - Almost a month between updates? A NEEEEW RECORD!!! Oy. Okay, so yeah, I attribute this largely to the burnout I've been feeling lately. MMBN3 has been going on FAR longer than I expected, and it's just pretty much sapped my will to work on things by this point. I will be finishing it however, now that the chipgrind is done, I feel more energized and can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's just going to be a looooooooong time before I do another Battle Network game. I'm eager to work on some shorter projects for awhile. Imperishable Night, Legend of Zelda Minimalist, Jumper 3 Blind, heck, even Silent Hill 4. I'm actually looking forward to Silent Hill 4 at this point. YOU SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME, GAME?!! So with that said, 9 new images have been added to the Fan Art gallery. I've also added a new Poll, regarding something I'll be bringing up in an upcoming video. I'm really curious to see what the fanbase is going to say on this one. The other poll is also closed now, with Blue coming in the overwhelming winner. Interesting... I've also updated the Library with some more titles in the "want to play but can't afford" list. Definitely want to get my hands on Pokémon Conquest...
