Genderless Sprite by GandWatch641 viewsDue to translation shenanigans, the sprite's gender in Secret of Mana tends to be in question. In canon, he's male. However, in the translation, there is the occasional NPC that refers to him as female, or even an indeterminate "it." The sad thing is, it's influenced me, and now I can't even get myself to consistently refer to him as male in the LP ^_^;;

Frost Man Sprite by Hfbn2641 viewsHere we have a wider selection of comparison sprites, as there actually was an official 8 bit sprite of Frost Man thanks to Mega Man 10. In this instance, the RM8FC sprite was actually pretty good, but I do think Hfbn2's version handled some details better, like the knuckles for example, giving them more definition.
